Dr. David Lampe, associate professor of biological sciences at Duquesne, and his cycling colleagues, co-sponsored by the Center for Environmental Research and Education, will staff a table with goodie bags for Duquesne University bike commuters, offering information on bike routes and gear for those interested in bicycle commuting.
Since last May, Lampe figures he’s logged about 3,000 miles, making the regular 24-mile round-trip from Shaler Township by bike.
“Pittsburgh has developed a nice network of bike trails; you don’t have to fight traffic on a busy road if you don’t want to,” advised Lampe.
