Peek into the Future of Research: Duquesne Hosts Undergraduate Research Symposium

    Apr. 4, 2012

An Undergraduate Research and Scholarship Symposium at Duquesne University highlights more than 80 student research projects. Top submissions will earn awards and prizes in this fourth annual event, including the new Excellence in Research in the Basic Sciences and Excellence in Sustainability. Submissions from nearly every school on campus provide a global view of research occurring today.

“One of the key values of a Duquesne education is the ability, as an undergraduate, to carry out scholarly work and significant research with faculty experts as a hands-on part of your education,” said Dr. Alan W. Seadler, associate academic vice president for research.

Brian Butko, alumnus, author and director of publications at the Sen. John Heinz History Center, will present the keynote.

    When: Wednesday, April 11, from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Keynote speaker at 1 p.m.

Where: Power Center Ballroom, Duquesne University, 600 Forbes Ave., Pittsburgh.

Information: Free and open to the public
