A free asthma camp for children ages 5 to 17 years old will provide screenings, education and a chance to exercise with Duquesne University athletes this weekend.
The camp, which will focus on staying healthy while dealing with asthma, includes basketball skills with Duquesne athlete volunteers, asthma education, health screenings and lunch.
Hosted by Duquesne’s Mylan School of Pharmacy, the camp is offered in collaboration with physicians from the Department of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology at Allegheny General Hospital and members of For Your Good Health, a regional nonprofit focused on health education.
When: Saturday, July 2, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
