The effects of repeated pesticide exposure on the health of farm workers will be explored during the annual lecture of the Duquesne University Graduate Center for Social and Public Policy.
Dr. Thomas A. Arcury, 2011 Duquesne Sociology Distinguished Alumni, will present his research. He is professor and vice chair for research in the department of family and community medicine, as well as director of the Center for Worker Health at Wake Forest University School of Medicine.
The lecture, Occupational Justice Research with North Carolina Farm Workers: Pesticide Exposure and Housing Conditions, is co-sponsored by the Graduate Center for Social and Public Policy, the Department of Sociology and the University Academic Sustainability Committee.
