Author and activist Trinh Minh-Ha will present Miles of Strangeness, during which she will address identity, citizenship, war and what it means to travel—literally, historically and emotionally. Minh-Ha, who has written books on film, gender and cultural politics, is an artist who creates large-scale multimedia installations and a filmmaker whose six feature-length films have been honored in retrospectives around the world. Presented by Duquesne University’s women’s and gender studies program.
