Community Pharmacy in Hill District to Open Dec. 20

Duquesne University’s Center for Pharmacy Services will open to the community at 9 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 20. Located at 1860 Centre Ave. in the Triangle Shops complex in Pittsburgh’s Hill District neighborhood, it is the first off-campus, community pharmacy in the country designed and operated by a school of pharmacy.

Adriana Pasquini, a senior in the Entrepreneurial Studies Program (ESP) at Duquesne University, is the winner of the 2010-11 Martha and Seaborn Jacobs Endowed Scholarship. The $6,600 scholarship award was announced by their son, Terrence S. Jacobs, Duquesne University alumnus and president and CEO of Penneco Oil Co., Delmont, and Ronald R. Morris, director of the ESP at Duquesne.
