U.S. News & World Report Recognizes Duquesne as a Top Business Program

Nov. 10, 2010

Duquesne University operates one of the nation’s top 200 business programs, says U.S. News and World Report.

In the U.S. News 2011 Best Business Programs ranking, Duquesne was listed as No. 184 of 386 business schools honored. Approximately 1,400 colleges were reviewed.

U.S. News recognizes business schools with a commitment to creating a rewarding learning environment for students, said Dr. Alan R. Miciak, dean of the Palumbo•Donahue Business School.

“In addition to our core majors, such as accounting, finance and marketing, our school recently introduced a four-year career development certificate, a requirement for all majors that will help to promote even greater preparation for the job market,” Miciak said.

The school has been accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) since 1961. The Business School also has been recognized by Inclusion in the 2011 Princeton Review’s The Best 300 Business Schools. It was the fifth time that the Donahue Graduate School of Business was recognized by this publication.

Earlier this year, U.S. News recognized Duquesne University as a top-tier national institution.
