Shaler Resident Recognized as PPA Preceptor of the Year

Dr. Robert L. Maher, Jr., assistant professor of clinical pharmacy at Duquesne’s Mylan School of Pharmacy, has been recognized with the Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association (PPA) 2010 Preceptor of the Year Award.
Maher received the award for demonstrating outstanding interaction and knowledge sharing, and for serving as an exceptional role model for his students.
His areas of expertise and research include geriatric pharmacotherapy, communication in community pharmacy, technology in community pharmacy practice and disease state management. Maher also provides clinical pharmacy services for the patients and health care professional affiliates of two independently owned community pharmacies in Western Pennsylvania.
Maher resides in Shaler.
