Mt. Lebanon Resident Named Vice Dean of Law School’s Evening Division

Ella Kwisnek has been named vice dean of the evening division at the Duquesne University School of Law. She will continue to serve as assistant dean of students at the school.
Kwisnek earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Vincent College and her Juris Doctor degree from Duquesne Law School, where she was on the editorial boards of the Duquesne Law Review and Juris magazine. After graduating, Kwisnek served as a U.S. Peace Corps volunteer in Lesotho, then as a law clerk to the Honorable Thomas G. Saylor of the Pennsylvania Superior Court.
She returned to Duquesne’s law school in 1995 as a full-time legal research and writing instructor and as a consultant to the career services office. In 1997, Kwisnek was appointed director of career services, and in 1998, she was appointed assistant dean of students.
Kwisnek is co-chair of the Law & Education Committee of the Women’s Bar Association. She resides in Mt. Lebanon.
