    Duquesne Union Renovation Achieves LEED Gold Certification

    A major renovation of the Duquesne Union at Duquesne University has earned Gold certification under the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) for Commercial Interiors rating system. This renovation project is the first LEED Gold certification for the University and the second LEED certification for the campus. Read more »

    Going to sleep in a safe environment could help to save the life of an infant.

    Of 68 babies who suffered sudden unexpected infant deaths in Allegheny County in 2001-2006, only two were in safe sleep environments with no risk factors, said Eileen Carlins, Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) of Pennsylvania educational director. Read more »
