Duquesne University’s Center for Pharmacy Services will open to the community at 9 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 20. Located at 1860 Centre Ave. in the Triangle Shops complex in Pittsburgh’s Hill District neighborhood, it is the first off-campus, community pharmacy in the country designed and operated by a school of pharmacy.

Going to sleep in a safe environment could help to save the life of an infant.

Of 68 babies who suffered sudden unexpected infant deaths in Allegheny County in 2001-2006, only two were in safe sleep environments with no risk factors, said Eileen Carlins, Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) of Pennsylvania educational director. Read more »
