    Dr. Jackie Jordan Irvine, the Charles Howard Candler Professor Emerita of Urban Education at Emory University and visiting professor at the University of Maryland, College Park, will dispel the myth that failing urban schools are solely in need of “good teachers.” Irvine will discuss how cultural and physical differences need to be address and will recommend reforms that could benefit student achievement in her talk, Teaching in Urban Schools: The Difference Makes a Difference.     Musique on the Bluff: The French Seasons Arrives
