Mar. 5, 2008
Dean Eileen Zungolo of the Duquesne University School of Nursing was recently recognized with two national honors. She was appointed by The American Academy of Nursing (AAN) to serve on its board of directors and was named a fellow of the Academy of Nursing Education by the National League for Nursing (NLN).
Zungolo’s selection to the board of the AAN recognizes her numerous accomplishments within the nursing profession and places her within a select group of leaders who will address today’s vital health issues. As a fellow of the NLN’s Academy of Nursing Education, she joins a group of educators recognized among their peers for academic leadership and the promotion of policy that advances nursing education.
Fellows of the Academy are nurse-educators whose contributions are not limited to the classroom but will have far-reaching effects on the profession of nursing.
Zungolo, the mother of two adult sons, lives in Forest Hills.
