    Taylor Allderdice Senior Receives Mind, Heart and Spirit Award

    Duquesne University has named Benjamin Levine as a recipient of the Mind, Heart and Spirit Award, which acknowledges and promotes outstanding student athletes from local high schools.

    A senior from Taylor Allderdice High School, Levine is recognized for exuding sportsmanship on the field, in the classroom and in the community. He maintains a 4.38 grade point average with highest honors and is also captain of the soccer team and the lacrosse team.

    Levine is a member of the Allderdice school leadership club and the Allderdice mock trial team, and is an editor and editorial cartoonist for the high school’s newspaper. The Pennsylvania School Press Association has awarded him four gold and one silver award for journalism and cartooning pieces. He is the son of Roseanne and Clifford Levine.

    The Mind, Heart and Spirit Award is announced at Steelers home games at Heinz Field. Honorees receive prizes provided by Duquesne University and the Pittsburgh Steelers Radio Network. One grand-prize winner selected from among the year’s recipients will receive a $1,000 scholarship and on-field recognition by Pittsburgh Steelers President Art Rooney II. The Mind, Heart and Spirit Award is sponsored by Duquesne University, the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Pittsburgh Steelers Radio Network.
