Students Win AMA Marketing Plan Contest

Five Duquesne University students teamed up to win first place and a $500 prize in the Marketing Plan Contest of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the American Marketing Association. Team members Gina Lazaro, Greg Walker, Kaitlyn Metz, Alice Sande and Michelle Flynn competed against 17 other teams from Western Pennsylvania. Read more »
Pappert School’s Jeffrey Turner Wins Distinguished Service Award

Jeffrey Turner, adjunct professor of double bass in the Mary Pappert School of Music at Duquesne University, has won the 2005 Distinguished Service Award presented jointly by the Pennsylvania/Delaware String Teachers Association (PADESTA) and the Pennsylvania School Orchestra Association (PSOA). Summer Language Camps Provide Global Perspective for Students

This summer Duquesne University will host a series of summer language camps for kids in kindergarten through eighth grade. Students can select camps that specialize in Spanish, Italian, German, French or Japanese. The camps will focus on the study of a language, but also will include an exploration of culture through food, music, arts and crafts. Read more »
