    Statement Regarding Formation of Gay Straight Alliance

    After intensive review, Duquesne University will allow the formation of a gay straight alliance on its campus with certain conditions including, first and foremost, adherence to Catholic teachings on homosexuality.     Duquesne Receives $650,000 PNC Foundation Grant

    Funding Earmarked for Early Childhood Education Programs

    Duquesne University has received a $650,000 grant from The PNC Financial Services Group through The PNC Foundation. The funds will be used by to enhance Duquesne’s early childhood education programs, advancing the goals of PNC Grow Up Great, the company’s 10-year, $100 million investment in school readiness for children from birth to age five.     Local Priest’s Latest Book Examines 2,000 Years of Biblical Scholarship

Kealy, C.S.Sp., offers the first detailed exploration of the Gospel of Luke from beginning to present day.     Local Law Students Finish Second at National Trial Advocacy Tournament

    Dr. Kathleen Glenister Roberts of Duquesne University’s communication and rhetorical studies department was recently honored with the Harvey Kelly Excellence in Teaching Award. Bestowed by the Pennsylvania Communications Association, the award is given annually to one communications professor in the commonwealth of Pennsylvania.     Duquesne Energy Group Announces Recommendations for Oil Company Windfall Profits

    Duquesne University’s Energy Policy Research Group (EPRG) today released recommendations on a national policy response to excess oil company windfall profits. The recommendations are contained within the EPRG’s “Program for Oil Security” (POS), a summary of which was announced on Oct. 4. The program resulted from discussions among public sector, private sector, and academic experts and is currently under review by policy makers in Washington. Read more »

    Summer Language Camps Provide Global Perspective for Students
